Holiday's

Trying the art of Bokeh - which is “the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image.”
I am not too great at this, yet. But I am learning.

Networking.

Well it has been a while since I have posted anything to this blog.
The plain and simple truth. I am still stuck on lesson 2 and 3!
Good thing the class is work as you can!

I am starting to network my skills a little bit. Taking pictures, for free, of friends babies and families. So far I have a family session booked, and and baby session booked, but no maternity session! Both friends who are pregnant right now (well the ones that are not about to pop and the ones that live close to me) do not want maternity pictures taken! So if you know anyone in the Chicagoland/Milwaukee area who needs maternity or family pictures for free let them know about me!!

Here are some of the recent pics of Brody I have taken:

Assingment 1

Working on Shutter Speed.

The above pictures are of Corey's car.

Just a random car driving down our street.

Someone once asked me: What is a goal you have?

And then responded with: Why is this goal not reality?
Hmmm. Thats a good question. My goals were, to take a photography class and to go back to school to get a nursing degree.
Well the nursing degree is just something I think about, but I have a degree already, and I like what I do (most days). So I got to thinking about why I have never taken that class. I had tons of excuses, but no good reasons.
After the birth of my son, Brody, taking pictures took on a new meaning. I was capturing moments in his life, big or small, I wanted to remember everything.
I spoke to some friends who suggested on-line classes or classes at the community college. My husband wanted to buy me a new camera for my birthday and in that same weekend, we had a photo session with an incredible talented photographer and from that moment on, I was inspired. So after many years of wanting to do this. I just said, its now or never and signed up!
In high school and college I was Leanne: Gymnast, Singer, Dancer, President of the PT club.. Now I am Leanne: Wife and Mother and thats all I have, while each of those is very rewarding, I feel like I need more!
I am excited to begin this new part of life with new challenges, and maybe one day be Leanne: Mother, Wife, Photographer ... who knows?
